Sylvan Inn B&B

In 1885, George Grady built this historic landmark Inn and appropriately named it Grady's Inn. A fine boarding house for lumbermen, it wasn't until around 1910 that George renamed the Inn and began catering to vacationing folks enjoying the dunes and lakes.

Lots of things have changed since those early days but some things remain just the way George liked them:

- The Inn's quiet corner location just a block from downtown Glen Arbor where you can enjoy the shops, galleries, restaurants and Lake Michigan beaches and just a mile from the Sleeping Bear Dunes.

- Perfectly clean, inviting rooms.

- Fresh breakfast with great coffee.

We'd like to think George would approve of the changes made since:

- 14 tastefully updated guest rooms.

- Spa & sauna.

- Complimentary wi-fi, guest computer, refrigerator & ice machine.

- Great wrap-around porch!

Come join us at this perfect home away from home!

Real Estate and Property Title Search

GTL Title Plant, LLC
PO Box 451 - Suttons Bay, MI 49682 - 231.271.5100 phone - 231.271.5110 fax
www.gtltitleplant.blogspot.com

Grand Traverse Leelanau Title Plant Title Search LogoWhat is a Title Plant?

A real estate and property title plant is where they do title searches for your Leelanau property. They have the tract books and deed records for Leelanau County and Grand Traverse County.

So if you wanted to do a Leelanau title search you would call GTL Title Plant. They do Leelanau property title searches by the property's Legal Description and by Grantor or Grantee.

What is the difference between doing a title search with GTL Title Plant or through the Leelanau Court House? Well, the main difference is the GTL Title Plant has the complete records to do a thorough search for you. The Leelanau County Register of Deeds records their information by name. If your name changes, you in essence lose the "chain of title". For example, let's say you experience a divorce and remarry and your last name changes from "Smith" to "Jones". You will lose the name continuity because the Leelanau County Records record deeds by name.

The GTL Title Plant has the maps to find parcels of land. They have the information about a lot in a subdivision by its metes and bounds. They have the exact records provided by a surveyor which includes the Legal Description for Leelanau County property or your Grand Traverse County property.

The GTL Title Plant conducts searches for a deed and land titles by legal description and by the Tax Roll number.

The other disadvantage of using the Leelanau County Court House records is you have to know who owns the Leelanau property before you can do a search for land title information.

The GTL Title Plant can search for Leelanau property by its Legal Description and Tax Number without having to know who owns the Leelanau property - and by doing your property title searches this way your information is accurate because it is done correctly. You don't have to worry about losing name continuity.

The GTL Title Plant works with banks, realtors, title agents, surveyors, attorneys and private individuals.

A great gift idea for the "person who has everything" is having GTL Title Plant prepare a "History of the Leelanau Property You Own". This historical keepsake is very popular with long-time Leelanau cottage and summer home owners and for families who have been a part of the history of Leelanau County.

The "History of the Leelanau Property You Own" is a unique document that your family will always cherish. The GTL Title Plant will provide you with the entire history of your Leelanau Land - all the way back to the original U.S. Land Patents from when the County was created in 1850s. Back then, individuals applied for tracts of land and the then sitting President signed the Land Patent and gave this land patent to the individual.

The GTL Title Plant tracts and paper documents go all the way back to these original land patents up to the present day. Many are handwritten from the original documents as registered with Leelanau County.

If you've ever wondered who really knows the "Land of Leelanau", well the GTL Title Plant is the company that truly knows all the "Land of Leelanau".

Our grandfather, William Stander, began Stander Marine, Inc. in 1912 selling, repairing and storing boats for all the boating families on Lake Leelanau. Our father, Charles "Chuck" Stander, continued the tradition of making summers on Lake Leelanau boating summers for the many families who had come to rely on the many boating services Stander Marine, Inc. offered - and introduced our full-service Ski-doo snowmobile dealership to the "winter-sports enthusiasts" in Leelanau County. GTL Title Plant, LLC - Grand Traverse Leelanau Title Plant - Title Searches

Real Estate and Property Title Search
GTL Title Plant, LLC
PO Box 451 - Suttons Bay, MI 49682 - 231.271.5100 phone - 231.271.5110 fax

Grand Traverse Leelanau Title Plant Title Search LogoIn December, 2008, Grand Traverse Title Agency in Traverse City, Michigan, and Leelanau Title Agency in Suttons Bay, Michigan, closed their doors. Grand Traverse Title Agency purchased the tract books from the County of Grand Traverse in or around 1925. Over the last 80+ years, they have maintained the tract index to the present time. Leelanau Title Agency purchased the tract books from the County of Leelanau in 1974, and had also maintained the tract index to the present time. GTL Title Plant, LLC has purchased the tract indexes for both Grand Traverse County and Leelanau County, and will continue to maintain the tracts to present date.

What is a Title Plant?
A real estate and property title plant is where they do title searches for your Leelanau County property or Grand Traverse County Property. They have the tract books and deed records for Leelanau County and Grand Traverse County.

So if you wanted to do a Leelanau title search you would call GTL Title Plant. They do Leelanau property title searches by the property's Legal Description and by Grantor or Grantee.

What is the difference between doing a title search with GTL Title Plant or through the Leelanau Court House or Grand Traverse County Courthouse? Well, the main difference is the GTL Title Plant has the complete records to do a thorough search for you. The Leelanau County Register of Deeds records their information by name. If your name changes, you in essence lose the "chain of title". For example, let's say you experience a divorce and remarry and your last name changes from "Smith" to "Jones". You will lose the name continuity because the Leelanau County Records record deeds by name. So does Grand Traverse County Records.

If you've ever wondered who really knows the "Land of Leelanau", well the GTL Title Plant is the company that knows all the "Land of Leelanau".

General title searches offered by GTL Title Plant, LLC include:

Last Grantee with Encumbrances
Two-owner Search with Encumbrances
40 Year Search
Foreclosure Search
